Barbados is divided into three strategic Divisional
Commands. The Northern, Central and the Southern Divisions.
The Divisional Commanders have responsibility
for the administration, pre-fire planning
and all emergency, rescue or firefighting
operations in their respective divisions.
The Northern Division
The Northern Division has three Stations:
Arch Hall Fire Station, St. James Fire Station
and St. John Fire Station. Arch Hall Fire
Station is situated at Arch Hall, St. Thomas, and it is 10 kms from Headquarters Fire
Station. St. James Fire Station is located
at Reeves Bay, Weston, St. James, and 16.8 kms from Headquarters Station, while
St. John Fire Station is at Four Roads, St. John, 16 kms from
Headquarters Station. The Division is managed
by a Divisional Officer located at the Arch
Hall Fire Station and is assisted by three Station
Officers, one based at each station.
The Central Division
The Central Division has two Stations: Headquarters
and Worthing. Headquarters
Fire Station is situated at Probyn Street,
in the City of Bridgetown, Worthing Fire
Station is situated at Worthing, Christ Church, which is 6.4 kms from Headquarters
Station. The Division is administered by
a Divisional Officer located at Headquarters
and assisted by two Station Officers,
one at each station.
The Southern Division
The Southern Division has one Station: The
Airport Fire Station - which is situated at
the Grantley Adams International Airport,
Seawell, Christ Church, and 17.6 kms
from Headquarters Station. The Division is supervised
by a Divisional Officer located at the Airport
Fire Station and assisted by a Station Officer.
