Seven homeless after house fire in Bayville
23 February 2006
Seven people were left homeless when fire destroyed one house and extensively damaged two others last night in Pipers Avenue, Bayville, St Michael, shortly after 7:30.

Fire officers said the house was rented by Andrew Fredericks and his wife Claudia, along with their five children. It was reportedly insured but not the contents.

Two neighbouring houses as well as two cars were also damaged by the flames.

Three fire tenders under the command of Divisional Officer Eric Rice responded.

While firemen were in Bayville, they received word of another fire in Black Rock Main Road, St Michael.

That fire destroyed an unoccupied house - next to Flintstones Inc. - belonging to Ruby Marshall who is reported to be in a senior citizens home.

Two tenders and eight officers responded. (ES)
