A fire that burnt down the Church of God of Prophecy building in Clifton Hall, St John, last Monday also dealt heavy blows to the church's filing system and its new sound equipment.
But Senior Pastor Derek Ward said the church was sticking to its goal of expanding to provide care services for the young and elderly.
He said the fire wiped out "six years of files". new sound equipment and all the furniture.
"We were not successful in saving anything."
Ward, 36, who took over the running of the church in 1999, said a decision was to be taken shortly on where the congregation would meet, since churches in the area had offered accommodation. (TY)
