Four fire tenders were auctioned at the Airport Fire Station yesterday.
The four vehicles were an AWB Bedford Fire Truck complete, a Nubian Major Crash Tender with Cummins 903 Engine complete and transmission, a Bedford TL1260 Crash Temder complete and an AWB Bedford CF2 van.
According to auctioneer Barrie Pemberton, the vehicles sold at an average of $500 with mainly farmers buying the vehicles to put their tanks to use for storing water. One person plans to restore one of the vehicles.
