Celebrating The Barbados Fire Service Cadet 10th Anniversary

This year's Barbados Fire Service Junior Fire Cadet Programme is turning out to be yet another success as stated by some of the cadets and organizers of the programme.The programme began on Monday 12th July, 2010 and continued every Monday to Friday from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm.
Applications to the program this year were overwhelming. The Chief Fire Officer offers sincere thanks to all those who showed an interest in joining the programme.
To those of you who were not successful, you are encouraged to try again next year. The Instructors committed themselves to the development of twenty five fire cadets for five weeks.

The young people taking part in this programme will received training in Discipline and Social Skills, Hose & Hydrant drills, Swimming classes, Squad Drill also Leisure and Social Activities. This year's programme was once again made possible by sponsors Roberts Manufacturing Co. Ltd and S.O.L (Barbados) Ltd.The Barbados Fire Service is committed to assisting in the personal development of young cadets and enabling them to become what they can be.
The cadets will showcase their talent at the end of the programme with an exhibition at the closing ceremony at the Ach Hall Fire Station on August 13th, 2010.
