Welcome to the Barbados Fire Service Fire Prevention and Community Relations Unit Webpage.

This webpage is created with the specific intent of providing relevant and timely fire safety information, advice and guidance for the citizens of Barbados and the wider global community..
It is hoped that this forum will be used by a wide cross-section of the population to gather information and transfer it into practical applications which will promote safety in the home and in the places of business.
The Fire Prevention and Community Relations is located at the Worthing Fire Station. This Unit came about, as part of the Barbados Fire Service's organizational diversity strategy, which was the result of an organizational audit in 2004.

smoke alarms The Unit serves to inform and educate the general public, as well as the business community, about matter relating to fire and life safety.
It was officially opened on July 26, 2007 and presently facilitates a wide range of activities which are coordinated, executed and overseen by its members as well as other members of the broader Service who assist with various events from time to time.
The Unit is open during business hours from 08:30-4:30 each week day but will respond to weekend events when given early notice.
